Club Loser have been through a lot. First, they fought of mutant spiders during a Saturday detention. Then they managed to survive a parasite invasion triggered by Flinch game that was sweeping the school. With all these horrific events, the culprits are still at large, The Latchitts have yet to be caught.

The Latchitts are hell bent on causing Angelo and his friends as much harm as possible, the result of being horrible towards their long lost granddaughter, Collette. What lengths are they willing to go to, to seek revenge?

The newest instalment in the Dreadwood Series by Jennifer Killick (the Queen of Middle-Grade horror) see Club Loser battling a new enemy from above. When all the birds in Finches Green begin acting strange and disappearing all together, Angelo starts to suspect that The Latchitts are back. As well as facing their avian pursuers, The Latchitts reach seem to extend further than originally thought. As their home lives are turned upside down, Club Loser find an ally in the totally uncool Mr C, who has had his fair share of trouble with The Latchitts himself. Helping anyway he can, Mr C protects the children in ways that they never thought he could.

Will Club Loser finally trapped The Latchitts and end the onslaught of mutant creatures or will the unhinged dangerous pensioners get away again?

Flock Horror is, in my opinion, the best book so far in the Dreadwood series. It had all the humour and passionate writing of the first two books but the horror and suspense was cranked up to 1000. I look forward to sharing this amazing book with my class and i shall be keeping my eyes peeled for the next instalment, Deadly Deep later this year.
