Everyone enjoys an escape room. They are fun and exciting but what would happen when the game stops being fun?

Escape Room by Christopher Edge follows Ami and her team mates; Adjoa, Min, Oscar and Ibrahim, as they traverse The Escape. The Escape was meant to be the best escape room experience ever but everything is not what it seems. Can the 5 children find the answer before its too late?

I really enjoyed reading Escape Room. The plot keeps you entertained but doesn’t reveal too much information too quickly. The first chapter is a great easy intro to the game but after that, the stakes become very high. I really empathised with the characters and how they each brought a skill to the team. The bonds they for really help drive the story on and when things take a turn for the worse, you hope that your favourite comes out the other side in one piece.

The end of the book is very heartfelt and not what I expected. Anyone that reads this story will feel like they have ridden an emotional rollercoaster by the end.
