Where to start?! I went into this book thinking it was going to be another celebrity memoir about how the industry has destroyed them but i was wrong.
I grew up watching Jennette on Nickelodeon and it was very interesting learning more about what was happening in her life when i was younger.
I don’t want to say too much about the story because I really think everyone should read this at some point in their life. Jennette’s take on her life growing up is honest and raw. For her whole life, she idolised her mother and would do anything to please her.
As the book continues, you are taken on an unfiltered journey through her life encountering her struggles with her body image, eating disorders and discovering herself in the aftermath of her mother dying.
I wish more people wrote with such a candid, unfiltered voice. It really makes you absorb what is being said instead of just reading it.
