I had the great privilege to meet Billy Bob Buttons through work so after I had to read his best selling book.

I think I murdered Miss is one of those books where you think you know what is going to happen but then BAM! The ending throws a curve ball into it all.

It starts out being a typical story about a boy that doesn’t fit in at school and is bullied because he’s different ( Simon is autistic) so he lashes out but when something happens to his teacher, Simon questions all that he knows to be real.

I really love the way that Billy Bob Buttons describes his characters as , and he mentioned this in his workshop with the kids in my class, he describes characters by their unusual features or traits. The effect is that you aren’t bored by learning every detail of a characters eyes or hair or height but only the things that make them stand out.

Over all it’s a great book from an author that manages to inspire lots of children to read more ( and a few grown ups too). My class would agree you should read I think I murdered Miss as they almost all bought a copy.
