Stink by Jenny McLachlan

Fans of the Land of Roar unite. Jenny McLachlan has done it again.

When Danny Todd turns 11, he gets the most unusual present from his sister, a fairy door (which she obviously wanted for herself). When the door is placed against a wall in the house, much to both Danny and his sister’s surprise, a fairy appears, S.Tink.

S.Tink is mischievous and sneaky. The first thing she does is glue Danny’s lips together because she can! After asking S.Tink how to get rid of her, she tells Danny that she needs to perform a good deed so she can earn 100 gold nuggets (she wants to buy some fancy new wings to show off to her brother).

Unfortunately for Danny and S.Tink is not very good at being good, something always seems to be going wrong. From casting colourful spells on foxes to releasing several magical creatures into the wild, it doesn’t look like S.Tink will be earning any nuggets any time soon.

S.Tink is one of those sotries that has you laughing from page 1. I don’t think i’ve laughed so hard about someone picking up troll poo! If you are a fan of Land of Roar, you definitely need to read this book.
